WoW Conquests – NEW!

Landing the Legendaries in World of Warcraft

One of the greatest accomplishments in World of Warcraft is landing a legendary piece of gear. With each legendary piece denoted by orange tooltips, you can show off to the world that you completed a ridiculously hard quest chain or item gathering grind to get yours. Here’s a quick look at all four legendaries currently available in the game.

Vanilla Legendaries

In the original game there are two legendary weapons you can still get. These include Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros and Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker. The former is made from items you can gather in Molten Core, one of the tougher instances in the original World of Warcraft. The latter is a one handed sword dropped by Thunderaan. To summon this boss, you’ll need to gather a good amount of Elementium, a super rare item that only appears in Blackwing Lair. You’ll also need some rare item drops out of Molten Core.

Burning Crusade Legendaries

There are two legendary items that drop in the Burning Crusade. They include the Warglaive of Azzinoth (mainhand and offhand) and Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury. The Warglaive is technically one item, but there are two versions – both of which drop from Illidan Stormrage. You can carry both blades as a dual wielder (available for Warriors, Rogues, and DKs). The second legendary is Thori’dal, a bow that drops from Kil’jaeden in the Sunwell Plateau.

Wrath Legendaries

In Wrath of the Lich King, there are two legendary weapons. The first is Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings. This is a one handed mace which can be used by Druids, Shaman, Paladins, and Priests. You will need 30 fragments of the weapon to forge it, which drop from bosses in the Ulduar raid.

The second weapon in Wrath is Shadowmourne, a two-handed ax which requires you to complete anumber of quests and gather reagents only available in Icecrown Citadel. These fragments are only available in 25 player or heroic mode.

Hunter – Carnage From Afar

The Hunter is known for his ability to tame pet that in turn will fight for him.  The Tame Beast ability becomes available after completing some quests at Level 10.  Once you have tamed a beast, you can summon him whenever you want.

You can have 2 pets in a stable, which is located outside of the Inn and near Hunter trainers, and have another pet at your side.  You can change them out at different occasions.

Think: PvP Pet, Tank Pet, Damage Pet, etc.  The pets recently obtained their own talent tree which makes them even more powerful that they were before the WoTLK.

The Hunter, in most cases, can do more damage than his pets and has greater abilities.  Some abilities consist of being able to fire shots and stings from a great distance, he has slowing abilities to keep enemies away like traps and slowing shots.

He is a versatile damage dealer and can move around a lot.  Although this is not needed in PvE and while leveling because there are either tanks or pets for this.  Kiting is sometimes needed and no class can do this as well as the Hunter.

As the Hunter can feign death, this will save him from being killed and therefore save a lot of gold.  The Hunter does have some expenses that other classes don’t, i.e. ammunition and food for his pets.

More about the Hunter Shortly….

Dungeon Strategies for Leveling

A Dungeon Strategy for Leveling

Dungeon leveling is the fastest way to level, but not everyone knows the best way to get the most out of the dungeon finder system.  You must have a strategy in order to make the most out of each run and it won’t hurt to have a dungeon leveling guide to help you out.

Developing a Strategy

To develop your own WoW dungeon strategy is to understand the system.  How it works and why dungeon leveling is the fastest way to go.  Dungeon leveling involves leveling your character by running chains of dungeons with other players.  With the dungeon finder tool, it’s easier to do because this tool is a part of patch 3.3 under the Wrath of the Lich King Expansion.

Developing your dungeon strategy depends on what “type” of class you are.  Damage classes have to wait longer than the healing and tanking classes.  Because of that, it’s worth it to solo quest while waiting for your dungeon group to form.

Healers are pretty high in demand, though not quite as much as tanks.  Tanks are able to walk in and out of dungeons all day because there are fewer of them.

Dungeon Quests

No strategy is complete without a plan for dungeon quests.  This is a very important part of dungeon leveling.  Quests offer you twice the experience of solo quests because they are more difficult.  All dungeons in WoW have quests that are done inside, but there are quests only offered for Alliance or Horde characters.  Doing just one dungeon quest is like doing two solo quests, so it is worth your time to figure out which quests go with which dungeon.

Fortunately, Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide covers everything from where to find the quests that go with specific dungeons and where to turn them in.  This guide takes into consideration that you can’t use the dungeon finder until your character reaches level 15.  It has all the qualities of the traditional guide but also new information you need to know about dungeon leveling.

Instant leveling is an awesome way to bring your character from Level 1 to 80 in a lot less time and effort.  You’ll find yourself hopping from dungeon to dungeon with ease.

Have Fun!

World of Warcraft Leveling Guide for Dungeon

“The fastest way to take your World of Warcraft character from level one to 80 is dungeon leveling, but the problem is that many of the current leveling guides just don’t support this new method of leveling.  Dungeon leveling is now widely popular as more and more WoW players discover just how fast they can level their toons.”

Dungeon leveling is really quite easy.  Using the dungeon finder button, located at the bottom of your action bar (right side of the screen), it looks like a green eye.  Unfortunately, you are not able to use the dungeon finder until you have reached Level 15, 16 is even better to start with.  Once you are ready to try dungeon leveling, just click the finder button and begin to look for groups.  Sit back, relax and watch levels soar.

The dungeon tool makes it really easy for Alliance and Horde players to level their World of Warcraft characters almost entirely inside the game’s dungeons.

One thing you should Not overlook are the dungeon quests!  These quests are a major part of leveling and offer huge boosts when you are instant leveling through the dungeons.  They are easy to overlook or avoid but you will be missing out on great gear and experience by Not doing them!  Dungeon quests award double the experience of other quests and will help you power level even faster then just choosing the right solo quest to do.

The downside of doing all the dungeon quests is it can be difficult to find those quests and you will be sent all over the map.  This can be extremely time consuming and probably a really good reason to invest in a leveling guide like Dugi’s.  Dugi’s Leveling Guide was strictly developed for WoW players who want to power level through the dungeons.  A really good guide will tell where to pick up dungeon quests, what level you should be at when picking them up and also, where to turn them in.!

This said, you will probably discover many Classic and Burning Crusade dungeons that you’ve never played before!

Enjoy!

World of Warcraft: The Beginning

Warcraft is a huge franchise of video games, novels and other media, created by Blizzard Entertainment.  The series is made up of four games:  Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and it’s expansion pack, The Frozen Throne and World of Warcraft.

These games are in real-time strategy, opposing players command armies in battle against each other or a computer enemy.

Expansion packs were released for multiple games in the series, each adding more content to each game in an effort to expand the product life span.  Only Warcraft: Orcs & Humans had no expansions.

Expansions:

Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
World of Warcraft aka WoW, has many expansions:
– The Burning Crusade
– Wrath of the Lich King, and lastly
– Cataclysm

The Scenerio:

The series are set in the world of Azeroth, a beautifully graphic fantasy setting.  The beginning of the series focused on human nations which make up Eastern Kingdoms.  The Orcish Horde arrived in Azeroth via a dark portal and thus the wars began.  These Orcs arrived from Draenor or Outland, a world shattered by demonic magic. As the series expanded, new continents immerged – Kalimdor and Northrend – introducing Night Elves and other races – elves, dwarves, gnomes and trolls.

Spinning off from this series are books and a collectible card game, where those who bought booster packs have a chance to gain access codes to limited in games content.

Adding to this, a film adaptation, a number of comics and an online subscription magazine.

Now, with the release of Cataclysm, there are very extensive manuals that may be purchased to help players along in their quests.

Warcraft’s Death Knight

The Death Knight is a melee fighter that uses Runic Power for his special abilities, like said before. He has 6 runes that he can use by using certain abilities. These runes have a cool down but do give the Death Knight some Runic Power. This Runic Power can then be used to use other special abilities that only cost Runic Power and do not place a rune on cool down.

One of the first quests you will come across is called “The Emblazoned Runeblade”. This quest will give you the ability called Runeforging. This ability can be used to forge a rune on the Death Knight’s weapons.

The Death Knight has three talent trees like any other class namely Blood, Frost and Unholy. Each tree gives advantages and it’s up to the player’s preferences which talent tree, or combination of talent trees they would like to use.

The advantages of a Death Knight are that he starts at level 55, is very easy to level and can continue fighting for longer periods of time. They can have a Ghoul and Gargoyle pet and that they look awesome. The disadvantage of playing a Death Knight is that almost everybody has decided to play a Death Knight, which makes it harder to find groups and raids etc.
